Digital Fusion

Digital Fusion is an innovative creative industries training programme which supports talented youth from traditionally marginalised groups to succeed within the fast-changing and challenging creative industries.

Launched by Creative Process in 2003, and part of Creative London's Supporting Talent To Enterprise Programme (STEP), Digital Fusion provides level I and II accredited training, employment skills and real hands-on experience of the creative sector with music industry experts. The programme particularly focuses on the technological changes taking place within the music sector, providing participants with the skills and knowledge needed for the digital economy.

The delivery area is centred in Lewisham, a pocket of London which suffers deprivation, high levels of unemployment and a lack of education and training. With several dedicated BAME-led partner organisations that can reach ethnic minority communities and respond to their needs and aspirations in their training programmes, Digital Fusion can increase inclusion in the creative industries.

Digital Fusion partners are all established creative sector leaders, which include City Showcase, The Institute of Music Technology, The Midi Music Company, L'Ouverture Trust, and The Albany. Funding for Digital Fusion by the LDA ceased in 2008, and Creative Process hopes to continue the project into the future as a distributed college model, funded by the LSC.
